Position Title: Assembly Technician

Location: Portage, MI

Pay Range: $19.00/HR.

Shift: 1st

Schedule: M-F, 7:00AM to 3:30PM

Talent Strategy is currently looking for a assembly technician to accurately and safely assemble and fabricate products within the company warehouse as well as picking, packing and checking orders for customer pickup and delivery, in order to increase operational efficiency, company profitability and customer satisfaction. This is a contract position for 3 months could go longer.

Job Description:

• Prepares and completes work orders by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Verifies specifications by measuring/testing completed component.
• Performs Quality checks to verify product integrity.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Comply with health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Able to read schematics and layout builds with little to no input from managers or engineers.
• Ensure warehouse areas are clean, accessible, and safe for traffic.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
• Verbal and written communication skills (English Required).
• Must be able to regularly lift and/move and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Strong Problem Solving Abilities
• Blueprint reading
• Hand tool knowledge
