After Word is Mallika’s final Diploma project as a student at the Creative Documentary course (CDC), Sri Aurobindo Centre for Arts and Communication (SACAC), New Delhi. The film is an attempt to explore the world of objects and their relationship to time, value and memory. Set in Daryaganj, After Word imagines the stories that are hidden, forgotten or left behind.
Mallika Visvanathan is currently a student at the Creative Documentary course (CDC), Sri Aurobindo Centre for Arts and Communication (SACAC), New Delhi. Born and brought up in Delhi, Mallika completed her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology (Hons.) from Hindu College, Delhi University. After receiving her Master’s degree from the School of Arts and Aesthetics, JNU, she worked at Amar Kanwar’s studio for six months. She collects graphic novels and postcards.
