Letters to Nowhere is a short documentary film about the place called Returned Letter Office (RLO), a branch of Indian Post service where the undelivered letters/parcels with incomplete or wrong address lands up. What ultimately happens to them? Who are these letters written to and by whom? Several questions came to our mind when we set out to make the film. Ultimately, what we ended up is more poignant and evocative in its treatment. This documentary is an attempt to revive the lost art of letter writing and reflects back on how the communication is lost in transit with letters not being able to reach the receiver. The film tries to visualize the content of the letters found at RLO and think about where it comes from.
